Finding my worth

Before I received eternal life, I struggled with low self-esteem.

I would be at work and see my bosses go into an office and shut the door and I just knew they were talking about me. When our company was downsized and a number of us were laid off, I did not look at the others who also lost their jobs, just me and that I must not be worth anything because I got laid off.

When I accepted a position in Fresno and moved here, someone shared with me how I could have eternal life and I gladly received it.

Now that I have eternal life, I know that my self worth is not based upon me or my performance

Several years ago, our company was acquired by another company and many of the employees were being terminated. Even though I was one of those included, I did not take it personally or let it affect my self esteem. My value is not based upon who I am, but who I belong to.

The best thing though is to know that if I died today, I would spend eternity in heaven.
