Finding love in God

I am glad to have eternal life because I have peace and hope after death.

I used to always resent the fact that I did not have a cool testimony like everyone else. I would hear Christians talk about the lives they lived before God and how they were radically changed through a relationship with their creator. However, my story consists of being raised in a Christian home, attending church, and hanging out with Christian friends. All I knew was living as a Christian. It was not until I heard the saying that it is with grace that I was placed in an environment where I did not have to be put through pain before discovering the love of God. I have grown up in love and a knowledge of who God is. That is not to say that I do not sin or that everything has been perfect for me, but I have been given the power and ability to make my bad good. I am grateful for being a follower of God because I know love even when my circumstances might try to dictate a different narrative.

Having God in my life gives me a reason to wake up. My problems feel smaller when God is with me and I bring my life to Him. People have called me crazy for believing in something greater than me, but I have been given a chance to have a clean slate in God. There is more peace and love found in a relationship with Jesus than any human life has given me.
