fear vs. faith

Before I received eternal life, I was afraid of dying.

I grew up in a rough part of Detroit, and a lot my friends had either been murdered or incarcerated.

I went to the church about 4 blocks from my house. This is where I heard the good news of eternal life.

Once I heard that we as Christians are assured of eternal life and have nothing to fear as long as I believe in Christ.

The following night, I was laying in my bed and heard gun shots and police sirens, but I was not worried anymore. I had received the gift of eternal life.

I know for certain that if I were to die today, I would have eternal life.
