Debbie's Testimony

Before I received eternal life I was empty with no purpose and that something was missing.

I attended church every Sunday just going through the motions not knowing what I was doing or why? I continued to go to church when I turned 12yrs. old my neighbor invited me to different functions within their church then they had an invitation to accept Jesus in your heart I walked forward. Jan then continued to teach me and have Bible lessons with us neighbor kids. Then she moved and I didn't have anyone to direct me so I continued to go back to my same church where I was raised. I got married we moved to Manteca then when I had my son Jason my husband Jay & I started talking we need to attend church. Our neighbors had us for dinner a couple of times and there was a difference in them that we saw. One morning Jay called and asked what church they attend and they said Crossroads. We came and everyone was so friendly & welcoming. I jumped right in & started serving in the nursery then attended women's bible study. I was still having a feeling of emptiness as I sat there. One afternoon after study I was in my room cleaning a draw out and an old Bible I had was sitting there as I opened it there was a track it said "Do you Believe as I read through it I knew that I needed to ask Christ back into my life. Right then & there I prayed the prayer. I was so excited I called my neighbor to let her know what I did. The following Sunday I spoke with Pastor Mike to see if I did it correctly & he said yes if you confess with your mouth & believe in your heart Jesus Christ is Lord then you will be saved. He also shared it's like a mental stake in the ground. When the devil comes in and tries to deceive you that you didn't ask Jesus into your heart go back to that stake or I go back to the date I wrote in that track Feb. 12,1990.

When I opened the track how to have eternal life I began to live differently.

Now that I have eternal life I have peace, fulfillment, & purpose in my life.

When I experience trails as having surgery, breaking my bones, even in the midst of caring for my dying dad recently Jesus has been with me and has given my a tremendous amount of peace. It was so cool that I did get to share Jesus with my parents & lead them to the Lord which I found fulfillment in that and purpose in my life.

The life that Jesus has given me here on earth to do his work for the kingdom has given me such joy and I know that I know, that I know by his Grace that if I were to die today I would be with him in Heaven.
