David's Personal Testimony

I am glad I know that I have eternal life, because I am filled with a sense of security for my soul. In that no matter what happens in my life, I know that the day I die I will see my God in all of His brilliance smiling at me and telling me that I have, "fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith".

I remember that it was right after I finished high school that I immediately started dating this girl I met in school. Though she was beautiful and extraordinarily charming she had not the slightest desire to do anything with my God and hated attending my church. It wasn't until two years into the relationship that I finally had enough of the drama and my heart burned to be with my God. It was after a serious fight of going back and forth between who was to blame for the bad relationship, that I took responsibility and told her what my God meant to me. We concluded that if she wasn't going to desire any involvement with my spiritual life then I would have to simply deny the relationship. She couldn't believe it, and neither could I. I chose to obey my God in that moment and we parted ways. It wasn't until after a month of serious introspection and prayer I finally felt peace and forgiveness from my God after so long of persisting in a relationship that I knew wasn't my God's desire for me. That kind of a peace, is one that I carry with me to this day as I strive to always follow the will of my God, and to enjoy His free gift of eternal life.

I speak with great confidence in this fact alone, that when I die I am going to see my God in heaven.
