Christ is my peace.

I'm glad I have the hope of eternal life because even when I've faced some serious health issues, I had a deep peace.

I've had 4 major surgeries on my kidney. Each and everyone was life-threatening, extremely serious, complicated and brought serious pain and recovery. But, even so I was never afraid and had a peace that didn't make sense. I knew God was with me and I also knew that if things didn't go well..I would be with Christ in heaven.

I know this because I believe that God's promise s are true. Even though I do not deserve to go to heaven because my life full of wtongdoing separates me from Gid, I accepted Christs gift of forgiveness. Christ dying on the cross - his taking my punishment for my life of wrong - means that if and when I die I will go to heaven.
