Christ is always enough

Before I gave my life to Christ I was always seeking the “next thrill”.

I was always chasing the next thing. Alcohol, woman, material items. What ever I thought would fill me.

I was raised in church but always thought because I went to church that I was going to heaven. Even though I was never satisfied with life. I knew that there was one who could fill me, and I was tired of running.

Now that I have surrendered my life to Christ I realize that all I need is Christ.

One of my many things I chased was motorcycles. I had bought a beauty and every time I turned around I wanted to add something to it, it was never good enough. That happened with everything from jobs to guitars until unfortunately I started looking at my wife that way. I was never satisfied and finally I came home from work was fed up with my day, felt ran down, something had to give. So I broke out a bottle of rum started to pour myself a drink and thought is this really worth it. At that moment I felt His pull, all the stuff I grew up hearing and never applying. So I poured the entire bottle down the drain, and that is when. I accepted the free gift of Christ and I still have urges to try and fill with worldly things, but now with the power of Christ I can always overcome.

Knowing that the pursuit of worldly things was empty made me realize i had no hope. But now that I am found in Christ Jesus I know that when I leave this world I will have everlasting life in heaven with my King.
