Chastine's Testimony

Before accepting Jesus Christ when I was 16 years old I felt like something was missing in my life and that I didn't have a true purpose in life.

I always wanted to know that I was put on this earth for a reason. Becoming a Christian truly gave me a new sense of worth and I did not question why I was born, what the point of life was, and what my mission was. I actually understood that God puts His followers here to bring glory to Him and to further his Kingdom through the Gospel.

I had a nudge in my heart and mind to attend church with my high school friends. I saw how they acted and behaved in life toward situations and something in me was telling myself that I needed to check it out, that I was missing out on something and I wanted to find out what that was.

Now that I have eternal life I know with confidence where I am going after I die and I do not fear death. I want everyone to have God's purpose in their lives and to go to Heaven too! I know now that my life's mission is to glorify God in everything that I do on a daily basis.

When I was 17 I was driving my sister and I home from church and I hit a huge SUV trying to turn left onto a street. Our car was totaled but we were perfectly fine except for minor whiplash and a few scrapes. The paramedics who arrived on the scene thought that we surely were dead but we were fine. I always account that incident to God's divine intervention with his Angels. There is no other way we could have survived that day.

I know that the moment I accepted Jesus Christ I would have eternal life and I would go to heaven to be with my Father and others before me who also accepted Him. I was given a renewed sense of self worth and direction in my life. I know that even when life is difficult and I go through trials that I have to keep the faith because I have a TRUE purpose in life and that whatever I might be going through at that time is nothing compared to the mission God has for me on this earth and the plans He has for me in Heaven. I cannot wait!
