Before I received eternal life, I struggled with guilt and shame because I felt I could never be good enough.

I was a good student, athlete, well behaved, but I always had this nagging feeling of guilt, especially when I would fail.

Then I heard about eternal life and it changed the way I looked at life and the way that I lived.

Now that I have eternal life, I no longer struggle with guilt and shame because I know that I have been forgiven.

Recently, I was struggling with some pressing, current issues and felt the weight briefly of shame. Then, I remembered that I had eternal life. This helped me look at those issues in perspective because my future is secure.

In Jesus, I have received eternal life and have done so in a way that I do not have to feel guilt or shame because I have received forgiveness.
