Carol's Testimony

I'm glad I have eternal life because I know God loves me and accepts me. He made me the way I am and He continues to help me be more like Him. He is always with me and gives me peace and comfort. I went to church as a child and learned a lot about Jesus but didn't really get to know Him. So in my teens and early twenties I went my own way not really trying to please God. Then one night God gave me a dream that really scared me. I dreamt that I had died and I was waiting to see if I would go to heaven. The terrifying part was that I wasn't sure I would go to heaven! I was so glad and relieved when I woke up and realized that it was only a dream. But that was a turning point in my life. Right then and there I asked Jesus to save me. I am so glad that I now know for sure that I will go to heaven to be with my Lord when my life on earth is over!

When I was a young child I asked Jesus to save me, but I don't remember much about it. As a child I didn't totally understand how to really get to know God so I kind of went my own way as a teen and into my twenties. Then one night I had a dream that really scared me. I dreamt that I was in some kind of a waiting room waiting to see if I would get into heaven. The terrifying part was that I wasn't sure I would go to heaven! I was so glad and relived when I woke up and realized it was only a dream. And right then and there I prayed the sinners prayer as an adult. That was a turning point in my life. I'm so thankful that God gave me that dream.

That is when I got serious about reading and studying my Bible and praying and growing in my relationship with my Lord. Over the years, my Lord has helped me through many difficult times and He is constantly teaching me and guiding me through my life. I can go to Him with anything and He helps me through it as long as I depend on Him. Now I know I have eternal life and will be in heaven with God some day! I'm so grateful to my Lord for all He has done for me.
