Finding satisfaction in the world vs finding satisfaction in the lord
One of the best parts of receiving external life is being joyful in all situations.
In my past I used to try to keep the commands of the Bible, but found myself pursuing fulfillment in drinking, porn and coarse joking. I followed these things over the Bible because I thought these would make me feel fulfilled. But God gives us Joy and Peace when we have eternal life. I tried so hard to find joy and peace on my own when God gives it to us freely once we have eternal life in Jesus!!
I no longer have to battle with finding happiness or a sense of fulfillment and purpose in life. There is no other joy like this in the universe and this is how I know that I will spend eternity with God.
Your testimony matters too
