Billy's Story

Before I received eternal life I dealt with rejection and addiction in major ways. I was full of insecurities with no hope of anything good in my life. I went from one relationship to another, looking for love in all of the wrong places.

I would wake up some days not knowing how I got where I was or what had happened the night before. My house was robbed and people I knew were getting robbed at gunpoint.

One day I woke up and decided to pray with a friend of mine for God to help us figure out our lives. That is when I felt like God began working on my behalf. There was no church service or altar call, but a great knowing in my heart that God had a greater plan and purpose for my life than I had been experiencing. It was at that moment I toyed with the idea of following Jesus' plan instead of my own.

Now that I know Jesus, I realize I am a child of God and my past is over. I am a new creation in Christ and the old way is no more.

Since receiving the Lord I have felt called to the ministry and been able to share my understanding of God's love and God's plan with many people.

The more I learn about the after life the more excited I am about knowing Jesus and spending eternity with Him!
