Beauty for ashes
Beauty for ashes
Before I received Christ I was selfish and disrespectful to everyone and everything. I took everything and everyone for granted.
In 2017 I was humbled. April 8 my brother went missing, then my Mama died in a house fire that October. My husband threw me out and I lost custody of my kids. I then became homeless. I started my journey for answers for justice and of who God created me to be. My purpose in this life. I was overwhelmed with grief and emptiness. And I top of all this people shunned and accused me of hurting my family. I became addicted to meth being around it on the streets. It helped me to not feel. This went on for a few years and one day it all changed when God sent me an angel. I was in a parking lot crying with nowhere to go and nobody to call. I saw a man sitting there and asked him to help me. I was introduced to these precious ladies who asked me" if I needed help, would I throw away the drugs and follow God", and I wholeheartedly did. I allowed God to work in my heart and my life. I figured out that He would make me whole and filled me up on the inside. I craved Him all that time I was trying to fill His space with drugs. He has given me a new direction and put me on a path surrounded by people who love me and guide me. I'm listening to His voice clearly responding to prayers I prayed during those heartbreaking moments in my life. He has put it on my heart to become a Christian counselor so I can help others by Him speaking and using me. I feel His love today and I now cherish the people in my life and try to live like this day is my last. #LovelikeJesus
I hope my story encourages you and gives you hope.
God is a near a the breath you breathe and waiting for you to take His hand and feel His love for you.
Hebrews 13:2 says " Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. NIV
I know God works in us because I feel him and He reveals Himself in secret ways only He can by listening to the prayers I pray. ??
