Awakening
I have committed many sins in my life and, with a sincere heart,repent of my sin and ask forgiveness of the Father so that I may receive the free gift off everlasting life.
Before I received eternal life, I lived to satisfy myself. The way I lived gave me temporary, short-lived joy that only brought me guilt and shame leaving g me empty, still searching for purpose and direction.
I remember feeling overwhelming anxiety about work and home life. My desire to transcend this life into a life of meaning, without focus on how or a direction to follow.
After years of consistent daily prayer while attending church as often as my work would allow, I felt the Holy Spirit and prayed to receive Christ as my Lord and Savior.
Ino longer have the doubt and anxiety from my former life. I have experienced the transformative power of a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Since my transformation, my thoughts are focused on my desire to change into what God has planned for my life instead of my plans.
I now know the power of faith in Christ and I have a relationship with him, which gives me the assurance I need to know where I am and where I'm going. I now that I will see Him in Heaven.
