Anxious about everything.

I'm glad I know I have eternal life because I have peace that trumps all anxiety and fear.

My parents separated when my mother was 5 months pregnant with me. My father was completely absent from my life and my sense of purpose and stability was shaken. Even though I have the most wonderful, and loving mother, my loneliness and discontentment led me to have anxiety just about everything. I was fearful of social situations. Being an only child, it was hard for me to make friends at school, and just felt sad. My coping strategy was to overachieve in academics, and perform my absolute best so that people would not feel sorry for me.

Christ became the Father I desperately needed! He healed my heart and erased my anxiety and loneliness. My life is purposeful and secure in Christ. He gave me the security and completeness that I needed to fill the void that I felt even as a young child. His overwhelming love, and His faithfulness took away my fears. Only Christ could be the author of such an amazing metamorphosis! His gift of eternal life is the fuel that drives me to live an abundant life for His glory.
