An example of what Christ can do....

I lived a life that was definitely not Christlike. After I gave my life to Christ, it was a complete turnaround. My everyday life, my marriage and the way I was a parent to my children. My home became a home filled with so much love and trust.

I had already been divorced when I met my husband. I still had the anger, hurt and bitterness from my 1st marriage and brought it into my new marriage. The Lord so wonderfully showed me how to let all that go and move forward with my new life. I've been married now for 35 years to the most wonderful man the Lord could have given me.

My biggest change was complete peace. I knew the Lord had me in His hand and would not leave me. He helps to make me see the best in the details of my life. From before I knew Christ compared to now, I am a totally different person. I attempt to show how much someone means to me. I never let a conversation with my family and friends without saying I love you! You are never promised tomorrow!

Before I had eternal life I was filled with so much anger and bitterness and now the Lord has washed every bit of that away. I could honestly feel it when it happened!

I was raised in a home that was at times very violent. It was very cruel and nothing a child should have to go through. You never knew what the next day would bring, so you were always on guard. From the time I was around 6 years old, I would lock myself in my room with my siblings. This went on many years. Even as I got older, the fear never left...it was always lurking. When I gave my life to Christ, all the fear, anger, worry, hurt and damage was suddenly washed away. My life is happy, content, joyful and loving....and this is because of my wonderful, loving Savior!

I know my Father walks each step with me everyday. He loves me unconditionally and I will dwell in the shelter of my Lord forever. I have no fear of death and I know that I will be in Heaven.
