Amazing Grace
God's love, grace, and mercy entered into my life to give me peace and belief in His gift of eternal life.
Eternal life gives inter peace because belief in eternal life gives assurance of God's love and forgiveness of mistakes I make and sins I commit.
I knew from an early age that Jesus loved me and wanted me to follow Him by doing what He said to do. "Jesus Loves Me" was my favorite song as a child. I learned the Ten Commandments and tried to follow them. It was difficult to love everyone, though, and I could never quite live up to what I thought Jesus wanted me to do. Through the years of good and not so good experiences, I grew in faith and understood more fully that it is through the grace of God that He is with me, forgiving my short comings and guiding me through life through His Holy Spirit, which He implanted in my heart. On May 26 of this year, my husband passed away unexpectantly, and I prayed to God for understanding and peace. He answered by assuring me He had shown mercy in the situation, and He gave me peace that is beyond human understanding.
I cannot be perfect on this earth as Jesus was, but God's promise of grace and forgiveness will remove my sins so that I can be assured of eternal life.
