Alone?

My relationship with God and His acceptance of me has allowed me to get through some very difficult time periods in my life.

As a result of my own foolishness, I was involved in a way too serious relationship as a young man and graduated high school with an almost one year old baby girl. I passed on a full college scholarship, married her mother, and joined the military to support my young family and "do the right thing." However, shortly after enlisting in the military she left me while I was away on training. I was alone, stationed in a distant place, far from family or any real support system, and most importantly, unable to see my little girl.

God gave me peace in that awful situation and I knew that I was not truly alone. I knew that He was with me and that no matter what, I would get through that and any other situation the world would throw at me. Most importantly, my soul is secure in Him and I will spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
