Adoption Means Forever Family
"My life before knowing Jesus was horrible because I didn’t have a real family and I didn’t even know God existed. Before I was adopted, I had to move around to many different foster homes. In 2011 I got adopted and for the first time my parents told me about God. Mom and dad taught me how to pray. At first I was angry at God because I didn’t get to stay with my birth parents. I’m not angry with God anymore because He put me in a safe place with a family who loves me. Mom and dad prayed with me every day and eventually I started to pray by myself, I felt different when I prayed. When I was 8, I asked Jesus into my heart; but reading my bible, going to church and joining Hope for Kids group helped me understand what God did for me. Hope for kids helped me because I know how to share the Gospel; Jesus is God, He came from heaven to earth, He died on the cross to pay for our sins, He rose from the dead and is in heaven now offering us the free gift of eternal life. I’m sad Jesus died on a cross, but I know that he did it for me; that gives me lots of Joy! Since becoming a Christ follower, I’ve changed, and understand that there is a God, He is alive, and because of Jesus I get to go to heaven with him. I still make mistakes, less than I used to, but I know I can pray to ask for forgiveness and He will help me change. I now have a forever family and one of my brothers was even adopted with me, and I have another adopted family, God’s family."
