A New Creation
A homeless, heroin addict prostitute receives a new identity, eternal purpose and joyful fulfilled life by the power of Jesus Christ.
Before I received eternal life I was a hopeless heroin addict who ended up homeless and in jail. My life was so empty and full of pain.
I remember sitting in that jail cell withdrawing from heroin knowing then and there that I couldn't go on living this way. I surrendered and admitted that I needed help because I couldn't change myself.
I entered into a Teen Challenge program and immediately felt God's peaceful presence. A staff member there presented the Gospel message to me and invited me to come to Jesus open arms. I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.
Today I know who I am in Christ and have received so much healing, freedom and transformation. My life is no longer empty but filled with purpose and meaning. I have the joy and peace of God in my life.
I hear about friends and people Overdosing and dying all over. I am grateful that God spared my life and I owe him it all. I am able to use my story that looked like such a mess, as a message today to share the hope and life God gives. I can perform outreach and minister to this lost and broken world.
I am confident today that our purpose in life is to love, serve and glorify God. He has made sense out of this life for me. I know my life is His and He may do with it whatever He pleases. Since my life is hidden in Christ I know I will be in Heaven when I die because I am saved by His grace and sacrifice alone.
