A Life of Adventure

Ronnie’s testimony: I made a discovery at a very young age that totally changed my entire life. I was introduced to this discovery by my parents for which I am forever grateful. I've walked my life out from elementary through Jr. High, High School and college with an absolute purpose of why I'm here on this planet. Everything I do, read or watch has an impact upon that purpose in my life. Things that happen to me both good and seemingly bad, I know with confidence that it will be used for the advancement of this purpose. There are so many things I have avoided in my life I only begin to mention: the destruction of drugs on a life, the results of a life of alcoholism, going to jail, disappointing my parents, getting kicked out of school, losing my college scholarship, have a child out of wedlock, or having to deal with a pregnant girlfriend who is considering aborting my child, losing my job because of anger issues and so many more are the things I've AVOIDED because I never did any of these things. I was delivered from each of these things "one day at a time" as I trusted in this amazing discovery that I had found at such a young age. I discovered that life was an adventure in my pursuit of this cause. From the poor side of town in NLR to traveling the world for this cause, I’ve found life to be an adventure because of this discovery.

I had just made and interception that helped us win the game. The entire HS football team was back in the locker room changing cloths when one of the popular guys came by each locker inviting them to a party with beer kegs, drugs and women. When he got to me he said, "Good game Hoov, I'd invite you but I know you wouldn't come." I overcame this temptation because I had already established myself as someone with a purpose - living my life for a cause greater than myself.

Having lived my life for the cause of Jesus Christ and avoided so many pitfalls I've seen countless others endure and rested assured in my ability to overcome temptations because of Christ's victory on the cross, I am abundantly sure that one day I'll live in heaven with the author of my discovery - Jesus Christ Himself.
