A journey with my loving Savior
God created everything and He has a plan for everyone of us. There is nothing too big for our God. Step out in faith trusting him always and you will be right where you are supposed to be. I have had my ups and downs, that's life down here. We will all have struggles and trials while in this world. But what a day when we get to the other side and you will. If you haven't accepted his free gift of salvation and the promise of heaven, what are you waiting for. Say yes and return to that right relationship with God that he planned from the start. He's waiting with arms wide open and makes no never mind to him where you are at right now. Believe me, I can attest to that.
Before I asked Jesus to take over my life I knew something was missing. I was 25 and had already experienced a failed marriage, was very depressed and had a drug and alcohol addiction. Living for the next party.
I remember when I was invited to church and wasn't really interested, refusing the first invitation. When asked again I accepted not knowing what God had in store for me. I heard the gospel and felt that tug on my heart welcoming a second chance at life.
I went forward that night and put it all on the altar asking the Lord to forgive me and help me start over. When I got up from that alter I felt alive for the first time in many years.
I felt a weight lifted. Like I truly could make a new start. The desire to follow the Lord was stronger than the desire for the party life.
I wanted to dive in and find out more about God and found myself in seminary two weeks after my conversion.
I'm 73 now and have known God's love and forgiveness for 49 years. I haven't always walked with God. I was church hurt and left my walk with God for 16 years. I returned to walk with him 6 years ago and can tell you, He never once gave up on me. His love is a pure love. He is full of mercy and grace and He knows you better than you know yourself.
Your testimony matters too
