A Glimpse of My Story
I find my purpose in worshipping Jesus. He is my strength when I am weak.
Receiving eternal life has given me everlasting hope and purpose that only can be found in Christ.
When I was in 10th grade, I struggled with overwhelming anxiety that was rooted in a lack of purpose and identity. It all started from an AP Chemistry class taught by a college professor that I did not understand and got my first F in. I went from being an all A student to struggling to pass an entire course. This theme of failure followed me into other areas of my life like sports, friendships, etc. I had this constant feeling of not being good enough, until God reminded me of what it says in the Bible. Verse after verse I saw what God says about me and my purpose found in Him, so I placed my identity and confidence in Him. I am no longer anxious on how I preformed, but now I have hope and faith that everything I do as long as it's for God is a win. All that matters is that He is glorified. He is the good in me and the reason I succeed. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 says, "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
The same confidence God instilled in me then I still have now. I am confident that because of God's grace and strength alone I will see Him in eternity and get to worship Him forever, which ultimately fulfills the purpose He has for me.
