A Fulfilling Life

I am glad I have received abundant life from God because I know for certain where I'm going after I die and having a relationship with God gives me peace and power for living right now.

I grew up in a family that went to church regularly. At a young age I realized that I was not perfect and the only way I would get to spend eternity with God was to put my trust in Jesus to make me right with God. I did trust Jesus to forgive my sins and that started my relationship with God. As I grew up I desired to follow God and my life went pretty smoothly. I graduated from college, taught elementary school, got married and got to do some traveling, and had four great kids. It wasn't hard to trust God. But then my second son became involved with the wrong kids. Later, my husband had several affairs and we divorced. I didn't receive any alimony and for a while I had to work two jobs plus a little side job to make ends meet. You might think that my life would have completely fallen apart. But my relationship with God reassured me that God loved me and would take care of me. And he did and has! My kids are grown and have families of their own. My wayward son is now an officer in the Navy. My needs have continued to be met.

I can say that in spite of hard things that happen, even now, I am not anxious about life now or in the future. I know that I will go to heaven when I die. God has given me a fulfilling life of peace and joy in having a relationship with Him.
