A Child's decision becomes an Adults desire
Though I accepted Christ as a child I did begin to mature in the body of Christ until I was an adult and began to study and truly decide what it was I believed and what I would stand for.
I have confidence and security in my life, because I know God's plan is perfect and I am a part of it.
As I started my adult life I had and was becoming more of a Christian in Name Only, I was floundering and I prayed. I prayed to God to lead me to a place where I could get an education, where I would be able to find a good paying comfortable job, and be able buy a house... it was all about me. God however heard my prayer and he answered everyone of those requests, he moved me half way across the country where I knew no one and had to make new friends and learn to trust in God, he gave me that office job where I met several people on fire with the love of Jesus, who taught me that what I had been doing was not what I could be. He gave me the funds and time to be able to volunteer and donate to support my local church. Now looking back I see how God took my selfish requests and used them to not only shape me into a better person one who leans and trusts in God, but also has used my life lessons to help others. God saved me when I was a child, I was His then, but today its more of a two sided relationship.
The day I was saved, though I was only a child I remember it clearly. For me and my 5 year old brain it was a miracle and now decades later still serves as a moment in time that I truly still believe was God's joy at my acceptance. Over the years I may have slipped and floundered, but the more I learn of science, history, and the more I read God's word the more I know that The Bible is the truth of God. I believe I will one day be with God and I will praise him all my days with joy.
