A Child of God’s Personal Story
Knowing the unconditional love and forgiveness that God has for me, enables me to realize that my Father and Savior is just one breath away guiding me through this Journey of Life, which enables me to be at peace whether I am on top of the mountain or in the deepest valley during my stay here because it is not my home.
“I’m glad I have eternal life because this free gift provides me with amazing hope, confidence, and peace in the face of adversity and the uncertainties of life.
“I recall a time that I had an uneasy feeling about my new Principal that was placed at our school, by the District Office. We not only had different philosophies, but I also felt uncomfortable around her because of her drive to continue up the chain of command, After prayer and talking to my husband, I felt that I was being led to ask for a transfer. When I asked my Principal to fill out the transfer request, so I could go on interviews for current job openings within the district brought conflict to my workspace. After continued prayers and being offered two positions, I had one more interview left, and I still didn’t know where was God’s will for me to be to use my gift of teaching to glorify Him. The night before my last interview, I remember praying to God to reveal His will. I remember asking God for a burning bush because He knew sometimes I could be dingy. A few minutes later, after I finished my prayer time, Adam Carter, my middle child, whom had just turned five and would be starting kindergarten next year, walked into my bedroom and stated, “Mommy, do you know that we are going to go Heath Springs next year? Do you also know they have a painting of a pond with a frog on a lily pad on it? I told him thank you for telling me that because I wasn’t aware of that, and got up and tucked him back in bed. The next day after my interview with the administration and faculty, the Reading Coach of Heath Springs Elementary School offered me the first grade teaching position in front of a mural of a pond with a frog on a lily pad, as we finished my tour of the school.
The same knowledge of knowing for sure where God wanted me to serve Him is the same confident knowledge that I will have eternal life and will be with Him in Heaven or the New Jerusalem, depending on whether He returns for the Resurrection before I pass, because I know for sure that I am a Christian. If I wasn’t a Christian, why does my Advocate, the Holy Spirit, condemn me when I sin.
