Before I had a relationship with Jesus I looked for happiness and fulfillment and even love in all my circumstances. I was miserable most of the time.
I spent lots of time in bars looking for fulfillment and love in all the wrong places. I tried changing jobs where I traveled a lot, I even moved to another state. Nothing seemed to fill that need for happiness and contentment.
Then someone shared with me how I could turn my life over to Jesus and that day I received the Gift of Eternal Life.
I found a peace and joy that is unexplainable. I realized I didn't have to go to bars to find that peace and joy I was looking for.
I have come to realize how thankful I am to have that joy and peace knowing I am not alone. My husband is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's Disease and cannot take care of himself in any way. I could stress out about what is happening to him, what is going to happen with my future without him, finances, my health problems, but even with all of that, I am comforted with a peace inside I cannot explain.
I no longer have to look for happiness and peace in outside circumstances. I am experiencing the full life that Jesus offers and know that if I were to die right now, I will be with Jesus in heaven.
