Before I had a relationship with Jesus I suffered from insecurity.
My insecurity would surface in my drinking alcohol and it took years for me to realize that what I was looking for would not be found in a bottle of beer.
Then I began to understand what a real and true life relationship with Jesus was all about.
Having Jesus in my life has allowed me to realize a life of sobriety that I had never envisioned before.
For example, when my old drinking friends would gather together for a party, I can go, be around people who are drinking, not feel the need to drink and even be the one at the end of the night to drive anyone home who needs it.
Knowing in my heart the fact that I have life to the fullest, and I have a life forever in heaven with God, gives me the most security that can ever be found. Having Jesus in my heart, lets me know for certain that if I were to die right now, I'd be in heaven.
