My general need before I received eternal life was to be accepted and to be liked by people who were around me.
I gained happiness and security from buying my friends gifts or doing whatever was necessary to gain their favor. I did not want to ever be left alone and therefore, I found myself doing more and more to keep their friendship.
Over time, this area in my life disappointed me and left me unfulfilled because my friends left me when the money was gone. I was left feeling empty and depressed.
Before I received eternal life I was afraid of death. Then illustrate that concept with a story out of your life experience.
Then, I received eternal life.
From that moment on, I noticed that I had hope to live again. I had a friend who accepted me for who I was and not for what I could do or buy. Now, I do not feel empty and depressed.
Now that I have eternal life I no longer fear death.
I know for sure that I will have eternal life and I am going to heaven when I die.
