My Story
Somewhere to belong
There was a time in mylife when I felt like I didn't belong anywhere. I felt lost and empty. I did not have much hope or faith that my situation could change.
I knew that God existed but I didn't know much about Him, He seemed very far away from my life. I was always counting on my own strength and making decisions for myself. I found out that on my own I didn't get very far
Then I started to learn a little bit about God... how He is loving and faithful. I knew I needed something ~ some Hope. I found hope in Jesus. I learned that I could never be good enough or "earn" my way into heaven. I learned that God is holy, He hates sin but loves us even though we are sinners.
Now, I know that Jesus gave His life to make a way for me to be right with God. I ask Jesus to forgive me and to help me live for Him.
Now, I know that I have peace, hope and strength from God and I belong in His family.
I also know that I have eternal life in Him. He promises to hold me in the palm of His hand and to never let me go!
