A New Beginning

Before I had a relationship with Jesus I wrestled with the idea of being accepted by my peers.

I did whatever was necessary to gain their favor. This included doing things to please them that were not right. I was left feeling empty and guilty.

Then I discovered true life value in a relationship with Jesus.

From that moment on, I realized that I didn’t have to do wrong things to be accepted and found friends who accepted me for who I was.

I recall being invited to a party where I knew there would be drinking. I didn’t feel comfortable about going. I felt the pressure from peers to go, but decided to avoid it. I was fully at peace with that decision. Later I learned that the party got out of hand. I was so glad I could make that decision minus any doubt.

Better yet, the full life that Jesus offers lasts forever. If I were to die right now, I know for certain that I’d be with God in heaven.

From that moment on, I noticed that I had hope to live again. I had a friend who accepted me for who I was and not for what I could do or buy. Now, I do not feel empty and depressed.

Now that I have eternal life I no longer fear death.

I know for sure that I will have eternal life and I am going to heaven when I die.
