Before I received eternal life, I had a lot of pride. I believed I was the best of the best.

I gained happiness and security from having people around me and being popular.

I learned in time that being popular didn't fulfill me.

I was also afraid of death. I did not know where I was going to go when I died. When I was 8 years old, there was an evangelistic crusade in Guadalajara, Mexico. During the evening we watched a movie about heaven and hell. The scenes greatly impacted me. I wanted to be sure that if I died, I would go to heaven to live with God. Undoubtedly, God was touching my heart and mind. When the preacher asked who wanted to receive Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior, I recognized this need and I received eternal life.

After I received eternal life, I noticed transformation in my heart and mind. My selfishness and pride has gotten better.

Now that I have eternal life I no longer fear death. I have given my life over to God and I know He is in control.

Since then, I committed my life to serve Him everyday of my life.
I am so glad to have Him in my life and am sure that I have eternal life and will be with Him in heaven when I die.
