Before I received eternal life I was afraid of dying. My dad died when he was 42. It was pretty awful watching him die. He was terrified of dying and it really scared me. I wouldn't even go around someone that was dying again because the thought frightened me so much.
Then, I received eternal life.
Right after that my fear of death went away. I was on a plane five days later. We took off from Chicago heading to Newark. The pilot came on and said, "Folks, we have a real problem. We don't have any hydraulic fluid. We use it to put the landing gear down. More than that, we use it to hold the landing gear down. I can still control the plane so we're going to go on to Newark and get rid of the fuel that we have. Then we're going to try to make a landing. If you know how to PRAY, NOW IS A GOOD TIME!" People began to panic all around me. That was the first moment that I knew I wasn't afraid to die.
The plane landed OK but the great part of that whole incident is that I know for sure that when I die I'm going to be with God in Heaven!
