My Story
The Future
The biggest struggle I had before accepting Christ was worrying about the future and trying to control how my future would play out.
Before being saved I believed that my future and the outcome was based on my decisions, my work ethic, and my doing. However, as I got older and graduated from college and got a taste of the real world I realized I could not control everything.
I was raised in a Christian home but did not accept Christ until college. The reason was I was afraid to go to Hell. However, it was not until after college did I realize that I not only needed Jesus for eternal salvation I needed Him for my day to day walk.
Ever since I turned everything over to God life has been more enjoyable and peaceful.
Just this past year I had was looking to expand my practice. As a result I purchased another practice that doubled my overall client base. It was something my business partner and I had prayed about for a year. So when the opportunity came about instead of worring about the additional expense and responsibility I knew that this was something I had prayed about. From a business standpoint it made sense and I knew God would take care of things.
I think for most people when they think about the future they probably wonder about work, marriage, retirement, ect. But more importantly than that is where do you go when you die? Knowing I have enternal life in Heaven gives me a peace about the future. And what happens here on Earth is just a blink of the eye.
