 Ordinary Christian

I don't honestly remember my life without Christ since I accepted Him in 2nd grade. However, the first few years I was a Christian I did not live my life like one.

I listened to crude music, hung out with people who were bad influences, and did what was "popular," not necessarily what was right. I remember thinking that being a Christian was easy because I didn't change my ways at all.

As I joined the youth group in 7th grade I began to realize that I had not lived my life for Christ at all. Although I had accepted Jesus into my heart, I was empty and void.

From then on I realized that I needed to place my value in Jesus, not in others.

I began volunteering for my church, seeking Christian friends, and making choices about my life that for the first time felt right.

I am now at peace with the decisions I make. I know that Jesus' love for me lasts forever and that if I were to die right now I would be in heaven with Him.
