My Story
Living for Me
Before I had a relationship with Jesus I was more concerned with what I was going to do with my life.
I had made a life in the Army and was planning to retire. I was dedicated to being a soldier and nothing else. Until I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease. I was medically discharged and I felt that my life was over.
I then discovered that my life was not over, I just had not begun to live. I learned that the gift of eternal life, is the life I was waiting to have.
I realized that my life had meaning after all and that the Army was just a stepping stone to get there.
I remember getting up one morning and not feeling like a failure for not being in the Army. I felt such peace knowing that my future plans where no longer a burden to me because I was no longer in control and it felt so good.
I am finally at peace knowing where my future stands. If I were to die today, I know for certain that I would be with God in heaven.
