A Purpose For Life
Before I had eternal life, I struggled with finding peace, satisfaction, or really- any purpose for life. And what about after life? What happens then?
I followed the ways of the 70's, pursuing fun, money, an easy life, believing I would feel fulfilled. Wrong. I didn't find anything but unhappiness, guilt, and a void in place of a vision for the future. Partying and bank accounts did not bring inner peace.
Then I discovered what the Bible said about receiving eternal life.
I gained assurance that there was an eternal heaven, a purpose for life here and now, and a peace beyond worldly explanation.
From business connections I was still involved with a hard partying, wild crowd, but now I could resist becoming entangled in negative activities. I knew the path to follow and and didn't feel torn by disiring to follow the crowd to be cool.
In fact, knowing for certain I'd be in heaven if I died right now is way cooler than anything the high life offered!
