Always Learning
Before I had a relationship with Jesus I thought that I was in control of my life.
I knew a lot about God and about the Bible, but I thought as long as I made good choices and was in control that life would go as I planned.
But then I learned that giving my life to God was about more than just knowing about Him, it's about knowing Him personally. In order to truly accept His gift of eternal life I needed to make Him the Lord of all the parts of my life.
Knowing that God loves me and wants the best for me gives me peace and strength even when things seem far out of my control.
Just a little over a year ago I found myself in a job that I loved, but working for a boss who did not treat me right. I felt trapped and knew that God wanted something better for me. He gave me the courage to take a step toward a new career with a new company and paved each step of the way.
God cares about the details of my life. Even better, He not only cares about things here on earth like jobs and bosses, but He also cares about something more important--I know that if I were to die right now that I'd be certain to be with God in heaven for eternity.
