What's My Story
God's guidance and protection.

Before I came to truly know God I struggled with a lot of sin in my life. I partied with my fellow soldiers, I drank, and I smoked cigerettes for years.
Although I lived a life of sin, the Lord was always with me. I have always felt his presence. Before I met my wife I was not saved and did not have a relationship with God.
Through her love and example I was saved and began my relationship with Christ.
From the moment I accepted Christ into my heart I knew I was walking in the right direction.
Through my military service I have had several combat deployments. I have seen action with the enemy on several occasions. One such incident I will never forget. I had just releived my gunner from his position after a long day of convoy security missions and we where headed for our home base. I was in the gunner position with no protection other than my body armor when we where hit by an IED just outside Fallujah. The IED was no more than 10 feet from our vehicle which was traveling at 65 mph. I felt a presence like someone holding me. When I woke up a few minutes later my gunner was shaking me to see if I was ok. I did a quick check for blood and found that the only injury I had was a loss of hearing in my right ear.
I know that God sent an angel to protect me that day. With all my heart and soul I believe that if I would have died that day I would be with our Father in heaven.
