My Story
Before I received eternal life I always felt an emptiness that I could not fulfill by reaching the next high point, such as getting more friends, going out more, finishing school or passing a certain age. I felt as if I did not have a purpose, or an ultimate goal to strive for.
Although I was raised up in a Christian family and went to a Christian school, I had never made that personal choice to live my life for Jesus. Rather, God used the role-models around me, such as my brother and a few other friends, to show me how He can work in our lives. From this I saw the self-assurance and purpose they had in their lives, and I wanted in.
Now that I have eternal life I have that purpose. I no longer feel empty; I now feel a deep purpose to spread the word of the bible and the fire of the sprit to the nations. God has given me hope, love, grace and purpose that has changed my life forever, and I now strive to spread that across the face of the earth. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21) and that's why I know that if I were to die this very moment, I would be welcomed into heaven's gates.
