Protection From a Storm

How do you know when the Holy Spirit or God directs you out of the path of danger? My answer is "you just know". If you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, you just know!
On July 26th, 2009, while sleeping a bolt of lightning came in through my bedroom window, came across the bed where I was sleeping, knocked a hole in the wall and blew off wood from the back side of my house. Normally, at the time it occurred (between 6a.m. & 7a.m.) I would have been up moving around. I could not sleep the night before so the thunder woke me up in time to catch a glimpse of what looked like a ball of fire. The house smelt like metallic smoke and the other side of the bed had debris from the hole it made in the wall. Most of the electricals in the house had to be replaced but what was so miraculous was seeing the events unfold so that I could know that it was God that kept me safe that morning. My bed could have caught fire. My house could have caught fire. I could have been in the path and gotten hit by lightinig that morning.
I thank God that he spared my life but if I had died that day, I know for sure that I would have gone to heaven.
