Secure for Eternity

Before my relationship with Jesus I trusted in myself, and the things of this world that I had or wanted to have.
I believed my hard work would secure my place in this world. I was in pursuit of a high profile career, trying to make as much as I could, owning as many toys as I could and having the biggest house I could. The problem with this pursuit is there is no finish line, the race goes on forever because there is always something else to obtain.
I had spent many years of my life in church as a child with my mother. I even attended church with my wife as an adult, going on mission trips and serving in many places. But my trust was still in me. Then one day the fact that Jesus loved me specifically became very clear to me. Everything began to change.
As I accepted Christ as my Savior my life began to change, my values and priorities we reorganized and life began to have true purpose.
I no longer work to get things, things, and more things. My focus on Christ and my submission to His will for my life brings total peace. Peace I could never have known before or without Christ.
Christ willingly laid down His life to pay for my sins and I know that by my belief and trust in Him I will be with God in heaven when I die for eternity.
