My Story
In Pursuit of Purpose
Before I had a relationship with Jesus, I did not know who I was, or where I was going with my life.
I was getting ready to graduate from high school and my future plans were often on my mind. I knew I wanted to go to college, but I wasn't sure which avenue to pursue. I had always longed to make a difference with my life, but that was hard to fathom because I did not feel significant enough to do so.
One day, a friend invited me to a Bible study. It was then I discovered my life mattered by having a relationship with Jesus.
From that moment on, I realized that I did have a special purpose while I'm being here on earth!
Soon, my college life began and I remember feeling excited! I no longer felt stressed about starting out in a particular direction. And even though I didn't have all of the answers regarding my future, it didn't seem important because I knew God was in control and had a plan for me.
As I look back over that time in my life, I can see how the Lord gave me very specific guidance. I completed numerous college degrees and I have been in a very fulfilling career where I am able to make a significant difference in the lives of many people.
And today, I continue to feel excited about the journey He has for me to live out. Without a doubt, I can tell you my life is very satisfying and there is never a dull moment! What's even better, the full life that Jesus offers lasts forever. If I were to die right now, I know for certain that I'd be with God in heaven.
