Before I had eternal life I was very unhappy, actually angry. I would say to my wife " is this all a ruse to life". I was very judgmental about almost everyone and everything.
I've had 13 eye operations, the first of which I lost the sight in my right eye and after that I had very poor vision in my left eye for over 12 years. I was angry at work at home with the family, I did not go to church. I felt there was a huge void in my life but it didn't know what was missing.
I was lying on a gurney waiting for my 13th and last operation, my wife was reading to me from the Bible. I started praying, and realized I was not in control nor was the doctor, that God would determine the outcome of whether it be blind or have sight. At that point I knew that I had eternal life a great peace came over me. As I went into the operating
the surgeon said "you really are afraid". No I have a new life.
Now I have the joy in my life and care about all people and realize now that we are all children of God.
My life has changed drastically, God save my marriage, my family and only He knows what else, now I am willing, anxious to care for other people. I've learned to give of myself rather than be critical of others.
I know today for sure that I have eternal life and I know when I die I will go to heaven. This is the greatest gift I could ever have received. God has truly blessed me.
I became very involved in church I was appointed as a trustee and later became the business manager for the church, which was a great opportunity to talk with people within the church.
I also led a men's Bible study and became a facilitator for a small group and also was appointed as a leader of the men's group, we organized and went out on a semiannual retreats
All of which help me learn more about the Bible and Jesus.
I believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior on March 10, 1989
I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior as I was about to go into my 13 eye surgery.
