"Benefits of waiting"

While working for the Federal Goverment 24 years and 6 months it was announced that we would close in 6 months. I was 6 months short of years and age for early retirement. Job placement was offered out of state, but I did not want to relocate and leave my family. I became stressed and ended up in the hospital for 8 days with a blood sugar level of 795.
While there I realized that God had put me in a place for a true life experience with Him. I had time to really talk to Him and listen. I came to realize that the battle was not mine that it was His. I learned to trust and depent on Him and found peace knowing that He would never leave or forsaken me.
From that moment on I came to realize that all I had to do was just trust in the Lord and wait. I turned my sitution over to Him and found peace.
Upon returning to work I continued to lean and depend on God and shared with my coworkers how I came to find peace by knowing that God would work it out. Shortly after my return it was announced that 44 highly experience and crossed trained employees would remain after closure. I applied for a position and got accepted, was promoted to lead a small group of officers, received a bonus and retired 4 years later. Don't you see that God had already worked it out.
Jesus is surely giving me an abundant life, and every day is a blessing, but the best part is that I know for certain that I have enternal life.
